Hidden Gem
Nagud was a blind buy for me. When I saw the price, then looked up the notes I decided it was worth the risk. Turns out, I was right! It's a beautiful, dark, balsamic rose and incense perfume that is deeply satisfying for the rose lover in me. The opening is slightly sharp and bright with some citrus and rose, at this stage the rose is fresh, sweet, almost clean smelling. After a few minutes, clouds of incense smoke start to gather and the scent grows darker. Now the rose deepens into a fruity syrup of petals. Here it also becomes more woody, balsamic and resinous, giving me the sense of both smoldering incense and unburned resins, particularly myrrh. This is where the development stops and I spend the next few hours in incense/rose bliss. My only gripe is that it doesn't last long enough, I get maybe 4 to 6 hours on the skin. The projection is rather soft during the last couple of hours too.
